Full pipe replacement and refurbishment of pond Asked these guys to come in a put right a previous less reputable company’s work , broken pipes , leaks , etc , the guys at Pond Works did a complete refurbishment of the existing system , new pipeworks etc and a much needed bit of maintenance for my elderly mother , pleased to say they did a fantastic job , punctual and very knowledgeable, would highly recommend Pond Works to anyone wanting real professional help

Delighted with the wildlife pond, which I have only just planted (pond installed in December, and we’ve had wild weather until March) – however, it’s been a joy to have the water sounds from the anthroposophical Lotus. Derek and Shaun gave me a comprehensive plant list, and I’ve picked my favourites. Now waiting for frogspawn to appear. It’s a pleasure every day.
They have also installed two other water features – understood the effect I was going for and went to great lengths to deliver.

Removal of old pond and complete renovation.
Our old pond was a dirty, dead puddle of water, devoid of life and in need of a serious overhaul. Pond Works undertook the work, drained the pond, slightly altered the shape and replaced the liner. Wanting a wildlife pond, landscaping and planting was sympathetic to our requirements and the finished article is a joy to behold. The gang were knowledgeable and professional and carried out the work to a high standard. There was no damage to the rest of the garden and disruption was minimal. New pond
We are delighted with our new wildlife pond designed and created by Pond Works. The team of three worked so hard to hand dig our large 3ft ,deep pool and landscape it with large stones and pebbles. Not only this but they had to cart the spoil up a hill and onto the front drive to be taken away. What we thought was going to take two weeks, took only five days with the weather on their side. The pond is beautiful and we are looking forward to planting it up ourselves, something Pond Works offer as a service, but we were itching to do ourselves. Amazingly they left no mess and left our garden untouched bar our lovely new feature. We highly recommend Pond Works. You will be in a queue but it will be worth the wait

Repair or water pump & cleaning/servicing pond. Pond Works have been regularly servicing our pond since they installed it in 2016. The service they provide is superb and Derek & Shaun’s professionalism and attention to detail is excellent. We recently had a problem with the pond pump. I contacted Derek and they arranged a visit within a couple of days of my call. When on site, Shaun very quickly identified the cause of the problem (accidental damage to the cable)and had the pond up and running again in a couple of hours. Pond suddenly drained overnight . Very concerned re fish. They came next day and put a temporary 3m tank for my 7 big koi carp. Found the fault and came back the day after to repair. Checked pond and found other smaller holes which were all repaired. They checked my filter and found a broken part and that the uv light was disconnected from electricity by an electrician who came to fix something else. This was the reason for my blanket weed too… so did a thorough job of checking all around pond worked and spotted 2 extra issues. Parts for filter ordered by Pond Works and came back in 3 days to fix. In 3 days of their work pond looks stunning, water staying in and clear, fish happy. Good quality reliable work from a very professional team.

I already had a newly dug out pond, in a brand new garden (new build house) but I wasn’t confident about how best to plant it out into a wildlife friendly and aesthetically pleasing feature. It had some plants in it, but lacked an overall scheme, and wasn’t really thriving. The team came and worked hard to create a wildlife friendly pebble ‘beach’ area within the existing pond, and replanted with more appropriate choices. The water is now clear, and wildlife is already finding the pond, it looks great and I’m sure will get even better as it matures. I was a bit hesitant about using pond works because they are relatively expensive, and not particularly local to me (I’m in Sheffield), but I now feel I was paying for expertise as much as the labour and plants, and they did work hard in hot, hot weather. I think it was money well spent, and with the benefit of hindsight would have bitten the bullet and got them to dig the pond as well. Yes would recommend.

Our pond had seen better days and was choc-a-bloc with Mare’s Tail and Horse’s Tail which was choking the water lilies and everything else. We wanted to rescue the fish and enjoy the pond again. We’re delighted with the wonderful wildlife pond made by Derek and his son Shaun in the garden of our newly built house. The pond site was a difficult one – it had formerly been used as a rubbish dump complete with old bicycles, bits of car and lots of broken glass. Derek and Shaun got rid of all the rubbish and made the site ready for the pond construction.
The pond completely transforms our site. Derek has a great eye and is quickly able to recommend best design. Their use of stone is particularly clever and just looks so natural. They did a planting scheme which will look wonderful. They even provided a long list of plants which will look good around the outside of the pond.
We look forward to sitting next to the pond with a nice glass of wine once the weather warms up!
